Grab a slice of the action as a garden centre café in north Norfolk has reopened under new management with a fresh look.

The café at Garden Centre Overstrand in Mundesley Road has relaunched after a fortnight of closure.

It is now back under garden centre management after being franchised out to the same team behind The Gangway café bars in Cromer, Mundesley and Sheringham for two years.

Gary Johnson, centre manager, said: "When The Gangway decided to leave it made business sense to take it back on - it had been run in-house before the Covid pandemic.

"Over the last fortnight, we have repainted and given the café a refresh, including giving the kitchen a revamp.

"We have made sure our prices are affordable as cafés are so important for garden centres, especially at this time of year when people aren't doing as much gardening.

"Since we opened a café here our footfall has increased a lot."

The menu includes a range of hot and cold drinks, fry-ups, jacket potatoes, soups, sandwiches, toasties, sausage rolls and cakes.

"It is the perfect place to visit after a trip to the beach for a drink, snack or a full breakfast and we are also dog friendly."

The café is open 9am to 3pm Tuesday to Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sundays (closed Mondays).

The garden centre sells a range of indoor and outdoor plants, with the majority sourced from the UK, as well as locally-made products and produce.
