A Cromer-based nail technician has been shortlisted for a national award.

Kate Webster, who runs Nails by Kate in Shipden Avenue, is a finalist in the Best Gel Nails category at the Official Hair and Beauty Awards.

Starting three years ago by practising on her nails, Kate has been fully qualified for over a year after taking a SurePass Beauty course in Norwich.

The 19-year-old said the award nomination was a “perfect way to start the new year”.
