A Cromer-based nail technician has been shortlisted for a national award.
Kate Webster, who runs Nails by Kate in Shipden Avenue, is a finalist in the Best Gel Nails category at the Official Hair and Beauty Awards.
Starting three years ago by practising on her nails, Kate has been fully qualified for over a year after taking a SurePass Beauty course in Norwich.
The 19-year-old said the award nomination was a “perfect way to start the new year”.
She says her family have inspired her, helping set up a home salon in her mum’s back garden.

Kate said: “Since I was about 16 I said to mum that I wanted to do nails. She was my biggest supporter and so was my nan and stepdad.
"They’ve just been like role models to me and proved that you’re capable of anything you put your mind to.”
She is now waiting to hear if she has been selected as a top three finalist to represent Norfolk at a glitzy ceremony in Birmingham in June.
