Part of Hemsby has fallen into the sea during more erosion overnight.

More of the cliffs have been lost near the lifeboat station after a dramatic night.

Overnight around five yards of coast fell into the sea near the car park close to the lifeboat station.

Speaking on BBC Radio Norfolk, Hemsby Lifeboat coxswain Daniel Hurd said people are hoping more is going to be done to protect the car park this week.

"If nothing is done this week or the following week there is going to be big big trouble down at Hemsby," Mr Hurd added.

"There is going to be a lot of businesses that suffer either damage or complete loss of buildings."

A local retired fisherman Kenny Chaney said: "We knew there would be a bit of tide last night but I didn't think it would be quite as bad as what it has been in this one particular place.

"If there had been a real breeze behind it half this car park would have went in. It's a very serious situation here."

People are being told to avoid the area.
