Police are searching a river following the disappearance of a 65-year-old woman who was last seen nearly a week ago.
Kim Wilde went missing from her home in Kimms Belt, Thetford, at 4.20pm last Friday and police have become increasingly concerned for her welfare.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Constabulary’s Marine Unit have been involved in searches today around a stretch of the River Thet near to Thetford town centre.
A cordon is in place while the searches are carried out.
Inspector Howard Elvidge from Norfolk Constabulary said: "We have carried out a number of enquiries to find Kim, including tracing her movements on CCTV in the town centre and are treating this as a missing person investigation.
"Kim is last seen in the area of the river which is why our searches today are focused on the River Thet."
Kim Wilde is described as 5ft 3in tall, white, of "proportionate" build, with dark brown, short hair.
Police say she was possibly wearing a grey jacket with a hood on, dark grey leggings and carrying a white handbag when she left.
Kim walks very slowly and can appear frail.
Anyone with information or who knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact Norfolk Police immediately on 101, quoting incident number 348 of January 6.
