An investigation is on-going into the death of a 41-year-old who became “unresponsive” after becoming trapped in equipment at work.
Marcin Horyza died after colleagues discovered him “trapped by something collapsing” on May 9, 2022, near King's Lynn.
At the time, officers from Norfolk police were called to a business in Maple Road, Saddlebow, shortly before 9pm following reports of an industrial incident.
Since his death, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has been investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
Information posted on its website confirmed that Mr Horyza was a motor vehicle repair employee.
Speaking at a review hearing at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on January 9, area coroner Samantha Goward said: “Mr Horyza was found unresponsive at work.
“Despite medical assistance, he was declared deceased.”
An inquest into his death was opened on August 16, 2022. It has been adjourned while the court awaits further information from the HSE.
A further review will take place at the Norwich-based court later this year.
