Roast dinners served at a gastropub near Hunstanton have been named among the best in the country.
The Gin Trap Inn in Ringstead has been included in a list of the top 10 roasts of 2023 by Rate Good Roasts.
The venue only launched its new roast menu in October but with help from the "county's best chef" it has earned national recognition.
Rate Good Roasts rated The Gin Trap ninth best in the nation with a score of 90pc with full marks for the venue, drinks, gravy and extras.
David Layman opened the gastropub in May 2019 before bringing in Gareth Rayner as chef-patron in 2022.
After only a year Mr Rayner scooped 'Chef of the Year' at the Norfolk Food and Drink Awards.
The Gin Trap Inn, which also boasts 16 bedrooms, was awarded two AA rosettes for culinary excellence in August and it has now been recommended for three, reserved for "outstanding restaurants".
It has built up a strong reputation with locals and holidaymakers alike for its seasonal British menu, which utilises Norfolk's abundant larder where possible - including Brancaster mussels and Cromer crab.
