A local charity has called for more consistency from the government.
East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) has said only around 20pc of its money comes from public funding while the rest is sourced from donors.
Brad McLean, the charity's chair of trustees, said this morning: "Ultimately, yes, we need more money but we also need continuity.

"We need some consistency - we need to understand what it’s going to be from year to year.
"At the moment I don’t believe we even know what 2024 and 2025 will be like as far as the funding model from the government.
"We need some sense of security so we can plan our services.”
EACH cares for and supports children with life-threatening conditions across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.
