A couple has lodged plans to change the use of an outbuilding in Mattishall to turn it into a well-being retreat.
The property on land adjacent to Sycamore House in Yaxham Road would offer overnight stays along where customers can also purchase treatments.
The applicants hope it will bring new business and employment to the area while also bringing a “redundant” building back to use.

The site of the wellbeing retreat would be on open agricultural land and it would offer two double bedrooms with a dedicated treatment room.

The outbuilding was previously turned into a beauty room and home office but the couple have decided to instead transform the property into the wellness retreat after the pandemic led to a change in circumstances for the couple.
It is expected Breckland Council will make a decision on the application in the new year.
