A second squadron of stealth fighter aircraft is being commissioned at RAF Marham.
809 Naval Air Squadron's history stretched from the Second World war to the Falklands conflict.
Now it is being reformed to fly the F-35 Lightning from its Norfolk base and the Royal Navy's aircraft carriers.
A ceremony is set to take place at Marham to formally "stand up" the squadron, which will join the 617 "Dambusters" Sqn at Marham.
Both are operated jointly by the RAF and Royal Navy, flying the Lightning both from land and sea.
Marham aircraft have been taking part in major North Sea wargames in recent weeks, as part of a NATO carrier strike group led by HMS Queen Elizabeth.
809 NAS's most recent deployment, before it was disbanded in October 1982, was flying Sea Harrier aircraft during the Falklands conflict.
