A husband and wife team who used to run a tea room in Wales are opening a new bistro near Holt later this week.

The Glaven Bistro will officially open its doors in The Barns at Manor Farm in Glandford on Friday.

The restaurant will be run by a married couple Carron and James Noon who previously ran The Little Tea Rooms in Abersoch in north Wales.

The pair moved to Norfolk in September to be closer to their family and quickly fell in love with their new venue.

"It's all been very quick," Mrs Noon said. "James is our head chef so he designed the kitchen and put together the menu and I've been helping with everything else."

The menu consists of carefully curated breakfast and lunch options.

In the morning, guests can choose from traditional breakfasts, a variety of toppings on sourdough toast, hot salmon or mushroom rostis, yoghurt with seasonal fruit and a range of pastries.

The lunch menu offers open sandwiches with a range of meat, vegetarian and vegan fillings and delicious salads.

Mrs Noon added: "We're trying to appeal to absolutely anyone who likes good food and local produce.

The Glaven Bistro will be open from 9.30am to 4pm on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 9.30am to 3pm on Sunday.
