A bistro in a Norfolk village is now allowed to sell alcohol.

The Vault, a tapas-style bistro in Acle, applied for the licence from Broadland District Council which approved the application.

It allows for the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises from 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 9pm on a Saturday and 10am to 4pm on a Sunday.

The bistro is run by couple Lorraine and Ray De'ath, who previously ran the Sista Barista coffee house on Bridewell Lane.

That venue closed on October 20 ahead of the launch of the new bistro.

The Vault opens from Monday to Saturday serving home-cooked breakfasts, paninis and other pastries during the day and a tapas-style menu in the evening.

It is located at Unit 2 in Folly Tree House, the former Barclays Bank building on The Street in Acle.
