Roll up, roll up for the Imagine Cruising World Indoor Bowls Championships at Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea from January 5–21, 2024.
Potters Resorts celebrated 25 years of welcoming the best bowlers on the planet to its International Arena by hosting the Imagine Cruising World Indoor Bowls Championships in 2023 – cementing its place in the history of this popular sport.
And with more than two weeks of live, top-class action returning to Hopton-on-Sea once again from January 5, there’s still time for you to be a part of its 26th edition.
Featuring players from all corners of the globe, including our home nations, Hong Kong, USA, South Africa, Canada, Israel, New Zealand and Australia, the World Indoor Bowls Championships at Potters remains the highlight of the bowls calendar.
Five prizes are up for grabs: The Open Pairs Championship, Mixed Pairs Championship, Under 25s, Ladies Matchplay and Open Singles. The winners will be presented with their famous blue trophies made by Langham Glass.
John Potter, proprietor of Potters Resorts, said: “We so enjoy welcoming the World Bowls Tour and its players for this special few weeks every January. The event itself is unique with many of the players and officials staying with us on resort too, so guests and visitors are always bumping into their bowling heroes.
"There’s always a great atmosphere here at Hopton-on-Sea and the 2024 Championships will no doubt offer more excitement and memorable moments on the famous blue rink.”
Imagine Cruising returns as the main sponsor, not to mention the BBC – which provides seven days of live coverage, including all finals throughout the last week.
But as with any sporting event, there’s no better way to experience the action than in person. The 2024 Championships are set to be another tremendous occasion – and you can be at the heart of it by booking day tickets, which are available from only £15, with the option to add a two-course lunch or dinner at time of booking.
You can also soak up the atmosphere by choosing to stay on an all-inclusive short break that features access to all matches in the International Arena, as well as comfortable accommodation, full board dining, drinks, exciting activities, a huge variety of sports and leisure facilities and stunning live evening entertainment.
With a number of breaks already sold out, now is the time to make your plans for a stay at Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea from January 5–21, 2024, with two-night breaks starting from £309 per person.
