Delta Fire claimed the Norfolk Business of the Year award, sponsored by Barclays Corporate Banking, at the Eastern Daily Press Business Awards 2023

The Norwich-based business also won the Environmental and Sustainability Award, sponsored by Norse Group.

Formed in 1990, Delta Fire has grown to become a globally recognised designer, manufacturer and supplier of specialist front-line firefighting products, with distribution networks across Europe and beyond.

Its products are in daily operational use across multiple industry sectors in more than 70 countries and it is committed to investing in research and development to ensure these products remain at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies, enhancing firefighter safety and protecting people and property wherever they are used.

Delta Fire has also invested millions of pounds towards becoming carbon neutral by 2025, including working towards building new, environmentally conscious premises.

The award judges said Delta Fire demonstrated a “very clear, defined strategy and vision with a long-term plan to future proof the business”.

They praised the business for “taking a very leading and proactive role in its net zero journey” and added that “the whole business is aligned to a single vision and has a very ambitious approach”.

“This will help enhance our brand as we further develop the business globally to become one of the world leaders for manufacturing firefighting nozzles.”

Mervyn Lambert Plant and Richardsons Leisure were also shortlisted for Norfolk Business of the Year.
