Fresh plans have been launched to convert a former NR3 pub into homes.

Dan Trivedi, from Trivedi Property Developments, is hoping to turn Heath House in Gertrude Road into three self-contained apartments.

The plans follow two previous attempts from Mr Trivedi to convert the site - which has been vacant since July 2022 - into housing.

An initial application which sought to convert it into a nine-bed HMO was withdrawn following backlash from locals, while a second proposal for short-term accommodation for city workers was refused by Norwich City Council.

The latest plans would see a pair of two-bedroom apartments developed on the ground floor and a single two-bedroom property on the first.

Six parking spaces would also be provided, alongside shared and private amenity spaces.

Planning documents submitted to the city council claim the development "makes the most efficient use of a redundant building and provides essential accommodation to the area".

The pub, which is close to Mousehold Heath, dates back to 1936.
