Several Suffolk rivers are fit to burst their banks after heavy rainfall battered the county yesterday.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert today (November 19) as flooding looks possible around Suffolk.
While the rain has stopped, the agency warns that the river levels will change quickly in the event of further downpours, and scattered showers have been forecast in the area today and tomorrow.
Alerts have been issued for low-lying areas around the Deben from Debenham to Ufford, including Framsden, Earl Soham, Easton, Glevering and Wickham Market, and on the Rivers Lark and Finn around Witnesham, Tuddenham St Martin, Playford and Grundisburgh.
The warning in place for Halesworth yesterday remains in place.
The River Box from Little Waldingfield to Thorrington Street, including Boxford, and on the River Brett from Cockfield to Higham, including Hadleigh, are also part of the flood alert area.
The River Waveney is a flood risk and low-lying areas around Diss, Eye, Harleston and Bungay could face flooding if the rain starts again.
The Environment Agency is monitoring the situation and will issue updates as and when they are necessary.
