A person was taken to hospital following a medical incident that saw an air ambulance land on a village green.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called to Pulham Market, near Diss, around 11.45am on Monday to assist a person who had injured themselves.

The Anglia One helicopter landed on Pulham Market Green, just outside The Crown pub, where doctor Liam, critical care paramedic Andy, and supervisor Jordan assisted the East of England Ambulance Service by helping to give the patient a full assessment and providing advanced pain relief.

The person was then transported to hospital for further treatment.

An eyewitness said: "Great job from the crew of the air ambulance to land on the relatively confined area of the green in very gusty wind conditions surrounded by the buildings."
