A mixed-use Norfolk farm will soon boast padel courts in a converted cattle shed, with the popular sport a cross between squash and short tennis.

Salle Moor Hall Farm, near Reepham, has been on a diversification journey in recent years.

This includes commercial units that are occupied by Norfolk businesses such as All Day Brewing and Drip Drop Bake Stop.

The farm's first Christmas market is taking place on Sunday, December 17 2023 from 10am to 3pm in collaboration with Native2Norfolk.

There will be free entry and 30 stalls from local makers and producers, with hot food available too.

The event will take place in a disused cattle shed, which has recently undergone a £90,000 refurbishment ahead of three padel courts opening there in spring 2024.

Antony Moore, marketing and asset manager, said: "Padel is big in Spain and making its way across Europe - once you play you are addicted.

"It is extremely important to diversify and we will continue to host the markets next year in a different location on the farm and we want to hold small music events too."
