A Norfolk health drinks company forecast to grow by more than £1m in the next year is looking for investors to help it expand.
Amino, based in Kings Lynn, was started by former-rugby player Si Carty and his sister Samantha Martell, in response to what they describe as a growing demand for protein drink alternatives.
The drinks contain amino acids – the ‘building blocks’ of all protein - which the company claims help to build muscle, reduce fatigue, and cut down on post-workout muscle soreness.
After generating £250,000 in revenue in the past 12 months, the firm is now hoping to find an investor to match that figure to allow it to move into a new 1000sqft warehouse in Kings Lynn, which the pair say would create five new jobs in the town.
The firm said the additional funds would go towards developing a new product line focused on improving sleep and hydration, as well as a fresh marketing campaign.
In August, Amino secured £300,000 from the East of England Regional Loan Scheme, which could be accessed with equity from further investment.
