A Norfolk pet groomer was named best in the region and is going on to the national finals.

Shampooches, the Dereham pooch pamperers, won best Norfolk pet groomers at England's Business Awards in Cambridge. 

Wendy Barker, owner of Shampooches, said: "I knew we would be up against three maybe four other dog groomers from the Norfolk area, so I just thought we’d have a nice and enjoyable evening.

"When it was time for the best pet grooming business in Norfolk to be decided I was absolutely stunned and overwhelmed with gratitude when my salon’s name was called out."

The team of three wanted to thank everyone who voted for them in the regional round.

They have now gone on to compete in the national awards and are asking for public support again to be crowned the best pet groomers in the UK.
