A domestic abuser has been jailed after a court heard he had breached an order protecting his victims for the sixth time.

Bradley Saffer, 29, pleaded guilty to being in breach of a domestic violence protection order (DVPO) when he visited a woman in Swaffham.

He was arrested on October 15 - just five days after the order had come into force.

A representative for Norfolk’s chief constable told Norwich Magistrates’ Court he had been subject of five separate DVPO dating back to 2019.

He had a long history of breaking court orders and had breached DVPOs on five previous occasions including assaulting his partners, he added.

Rachel Buck, mitigating, said the situation was “unusual” as his current partner did not support the order and he had made contact at her request.

Saffer, of Style Loke in Barford, also admitted breaking a curfew that is part of bail conditions imposed as part of a separate court case.

Jailing him for four weeks and ordering he remain on remand until December 11, magistrates told him: “Courts take domestic violence very seriously. DVPOs are put in place to protect victims.”
