A new paddleboarding shop is opening in north Norfolk with a focus on inclusive clothing.

SUP Norfolk, a brand-new paddleboarding equipment shop in North Walsham, is opening next month.

Leanne Roper and Laura Oakley launched the business after discovering a passion for the sport during the coronavirus lockdowns.

Ms Roper said: "We're both plus-size ladies and we know the struggle of trying to get clothing and wet suits that are designed for all sizes.

"We want to be inclusive to everybody no matter their age, weight, height or ability.

"It's one of those sports that's inclusive to everyone, whether you stand or sit or kneel."

The shop in Norwich Road will sell paddleboards, wet suits, personal floatation devices, changing robes and other sporting equipment.

The duo met while they were both foster parents in the area and will be running the business alongside their jobs at children's homes.

Ms Oakley added: "Paddleboarding is such a lovely community of people and a great way to get active without it being dependent on your ability."
