Dabbling Duck and Lifeboat Inn named in Good Food Guide

The publication has today released its selection of current favourites, with The Dabbling Duck in Great Massingham and The Lifeboat Inn in Thornham making the cut.

Choices were based on value for money, informal settings and "delicious" cooking.

The guide refers to The Lifeboat Inn's "magnificent roasts", with particular mention of the Yorkshire puddings, the "attractive bedrooms" and "hearty British school" food.

Steeped in history, the Lifeboat Inn was built as a cottage with two outhouses and became a 16th-century smugglers' alehouse.

The Dabbling Duck is no stranger to an award, being named one of the best in the UK last year and receiving another mention in the Good Food Guide earlier this year.

The pub is also quite a hotspot for the rich and famous. 

Famous faces who have visited in the past include Sir Alan Sugar, Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton.
