A legendary British plane is set to soar over Norwich on Friday.

A Spitfire will fly over the city near County Hall at around 6.20pm tomorrow (September 15) as part of a Battle of Britain commemoration service.

Almost 3,000 RAF personnel took part in the battle of September 15, 1940, often described as "the turning point" of the Second World War.

Spitfires are renowned for blocking many attacks from the German Luftwaffe in this period.
