A 65-year-old woman who was found shot dead at home in Norfolk has been named. 

A murder investigation was launched after police were called to a Grade II listed home in Lady's Drove, Emneth, in west Norfolk, at 7.30am on Monday.

Police have provisionally identified the deceased as Lesley Page of Lady's Drove. 

Provisional results of a post-mortem examination show the cause of death to be gunshot wounds to the torso. 

A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday and taken to King's Lynn Police Station for questioning. 

He remains in custody and detectives have been given an additional 36 hours to question him after applying for a warrant of further detention at Norwich Magistrates' Court.

The extension will end at 3.36am tomorrow.
