Part of a busy south Norfolk road will close for eight days this month.

Norfolk County Council and its contractors will begin road surface maintenance on the B1136 on September 25.

Traffic will be blocked from passing through Hales every day between 8am and 5pm until October 2.

Restrictions are to remain in place on the weekend of Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1.

Traffic will be diverted via Stockton, Gillingham and Haddiscoe. All diversions will be clearly signposted.

Residents, businesses, and deliveries can gain access while the closure is in place but are warned to expect delays.
