A new pizza takeaway could open at the former site of an animal rescue charity shop in Diss.
Plans have been lodged with South Norfolk Council to change the former Pride Animal Rescue shop in Mere Street into a hot food pizza takeaway.
It comes after the owner of Pride Animal Rescue, Christopher Coe, was jailed for 12 months in April for stealing tens of thousands of pounds from veterinary practices.
Earlier this week men were seen boarding up the shop.

Developers have corresponded with the council to assure them that the changes to the Grade II listed 19th-century building will be superficial.
Plans state that the outside of the shop will be repaired and repainted with new signage installed.
Rumours have circulated on social media that the location will house a new Domino’s delivery shop.
Domino’s branches have opened in Attleborough, Swaffham and Watton so far this year as part of a UK-wide expansion.
