From African and Caribbean dishes to a sausage celebration, these major food festivals and markets are coming to Norwich later in 2023.

1. Foodies Festival

Where: Earlham Park, Norwich, NR4 7TQ

When: September 8: 12noon-9pm, September 9: 11am-9pm and September 10: 11am-8pm

Price: Adults: from £18 a day (concession, child, family, VIP and weekend tickets also available), foodiesfestival.com

This huge touring food festival is back in the city for its second year and it will feature demonstrations from MasterChef stars and top Norfolk chefs. 

Live music is also a big part of the event, with the headliners an Abba tribute band on Friday, Blue on Saturday and Toploader on Sunday.

2. Street Food Festival

Where: Fitzmaurice Park, Pound Lane, Thorpe St Andrew, NR7 0UL

When: September 10, 12noon-3pm

Price: Free entry

Thorpe St Andrew Town Council is running this free entry festival in Fitzmaurice Park on the outskirts of Norwich.

There will be a whole host of local food traders, including Dirty Fryer Boys, Elsie's Pizza and The Durban Grill, with a bar and entertainment from local singer Joe Ringer.

3. African and Caribbean Market

Where: The Forum, Millennium Plain, Norwich, NR2 1TF

When: September 30, 10am-5pm

Price: Free entry

The African and Caribbean Market returns to Norwich city centre by popular demand.

Inside The Forum you will find a range of stalls selling unique products and outside will be the street food market and performances from local musicians and dancers.

4. Junkyard Food Festival

Where: Earlham Park, Norwich, NR4 7TQ

When: October 6-8, 12noon-10pm 

Price: Free entry, book at junkyardmarket.co.uk

The operators of the street food park Junkyard Market, located outside St Mary's Works, are holding a festival to celebrate three years in business.

The Junkyard Food Festival will take place in Earlham Park, with at least 20 street food traders, cocktails, craft beers, wine tastings, DJs and arts and crafts for children.

5. Sausage and Cider Festival

Where: The Halls, St Andrew's Plain, Norwich, NR3 1AU

When: November 25, sessions from 12noon-5pm and 6pm-11pm

The Sausage and Cider Festival returns to Norwich by popular demand and there will be at least 12 different sausage flavours and more than 25 ciders. 

The event will also have sausage and chilli pepper eating competitions.
