Two days-old seals were found weak and unresponsive on beaches in Norfolk.

The pups were discovered separately and taken in by the rehabilitation team at Sea Life Hunstanton.

Rubicon, who nearly did not make it, was the first to be rescued after being found alone, weak and dehydrated at Snettisham beach on June 23.

Another tiny newborn pup, Nesquik, was found on Heacham beach six days later with his umbilical cord still attached.

It is thought that Nesquik had been alone for some time and was incredibly weak on arrival.

Both pups are now making a strong recovery.

Once the pups have learnt how to eat whole fish, they are moved into different pools before they can be released into the wild.

Nigel Croasdale, manager at Sea Life Hunstanton, said: “Rubicon and Nesquik are such fighters.

"We’re so pleased with their progress and are looking forward to releasing them to thrive in the wild once they are strong and healthy enough to do so."
