1. Grosvenor Fish Bar

Where: 28 Lower Goat Lane, Norwich NR2 1EL

When: 11.30am to 7.30pm Monday to Thursday, until 9pm Friday and Saturday

One of Norwich's most popular chip shops, Grosvenors was established 95 years ago.

Some of the more unique menu items include tuna steak, squid and specials like the BLT with battered bacon and Christmas dinner with battered stuffing.

2. Eric's 

Where: 4 Fish Hill, Holt NR25 6BD. Drove Orchards, Thornham Road, Hunstanton PE36 6LS. 

When: 12pm to 8pm every day

Eric's serves tapas-style fish and chips, aiming to blend nostalgia with a modern European influence.

Alongside quirky desserts like deep-fried jam sandwiches and cookies, the restaurant serves black pudding fritters, arancini balls and vegan prawns.

3. Randy's Seafood

Where and when: Released on social media

This horsebox street food company serves chips and seafood caught by the owner's brother.

Replacing traditional battered fish with seafood, they offer truffle and parmesan lobster, coriander chilli and lime crab cakes and lobster thermidor.

4. Chish and Fips

Where: 53 Angel Road, Norwich NR3 3HR

When: 12pm to 1.30pm and 4.30pm to 9pm Tuesday to Saturday

This award-winning serves unique options such as battered pizza, battered cheese and a seafood basket with prawns and squid.

They also do popular seasonal specials like battered Creme Eggs for Easter and battered pigs in blankets for Christmas.

5. Dearnos

Where: Market Gates, Great Yarmouth NR30 1LX

When: 10.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, until 5pm weekends

One of Yarmouth's most popular chip stalls, Dearno's is loved by locals and tourists alike.

It shines with its array of toppings - chilli con carne, baked beans, onion gravy and classics like cheese and curry.
