Families were left horrified after spotting what they believed to be a dead body in an Asda car park.

A man, who does not wish to be named, saw a body bag outside an InHealth mobile MRI scan unit at the supermarket in Hellesdon.

He said: "I was in the Asda car park and it was clear that potentially a dead body had been left out in the pouring rain for all to see.

Eastern Daily Press:

"There were numerous families around and it wasn't only seen by myself, but plenty of parents with young children who may have been affected by the sight."

The mobile unit stationed outside Asda is part of InHealth's MRI fleet and has a large scanner inside used for medical diagnosis.

Zosia Hedges, a spokeswoman for InHealth, said of the incident on July 14: "The images in question are of our trolley that was empty, covered with a bespoke, black cover that protects the equipment when it is stored outside.

"Given the profile of the trolley and cover, we understand that members of the public may have been concerned.

"Based on this feedback, we are reviewing the use of trolley covers in this way."
