Fans of the legendary sitcom Fawlty Towers are in for a night of laughter and fine dining at an interactive show in Great Yarmouth.

Paul Andrew Goldsmith and Katherine Vince, who run Twisted Reality Productions, are taking their tribute show 'An Evening at Fawlty Towers' to the Royal Assembly Rooms on July 21.

The event consists of a three-course dinner with the show performed around and during the service.

Mr Goldsmith said: "I’d toured as Basil across the UK for various companies for many years prior to us launching our own interactive tribute show in 2019.

"The launch night at The Imperial hotel in Great Yarmouth went down a storm and we had several other bookings ready for 2020 until sadly Covid saw them cancelled."

During the pandemic, the couple paid tribute to the sitcom by making a short film called 'Episode 13 - The Lockdown'.

Mr Goldsmith said: "We are huge Fawlty Towers fans and made the film out of lockdown boredom for a bit of fun. We didn’t expect it to get such coverage."

The company has performed the show various times at privately run events and is now excited to see the show get a public viewing.

Katherine Vince, Twisted Reality director and producer, said: "We are asked regularly when are we taking the show out publicly, so it’s lovely to be able to do so.

"The show is gorgeous to perform in, and we adore the reactions from our audience, especially during the many improvised and audience interaction moments.

"We love this style of theatre being able to be up close with our audience," she added.

Tickets are £45 inclusive of the meal and the event begins at 7pm.

The company also runs The Polar Express - live train show at the Mid-Norfolk Railway in Dereham.
