Spectators from across the Royal Norfolk Show gathered at its Countryside Ring to watch one of the show-favourite events - the Ham National.

The highly anticipated and porktacular pig race, held by Church Farm Stow Bardolph, near King's Lynn, saw 10 of its pigs line up at the start ready to race their little trotters off.

While Peppa may have won the hearts of the crowd - choosing to spend her time sniffing the track for potential muddy puddles - the first race was won by the Piginator.

During the second race, Snoop Hog pipped his competitors in porkfect piggy style.

And, after promising the crowds following his earlier win that ‘he’ll be back’, the Piginator took home the bacon and won gold again in the final race.

In the competition, featuring a number of pig breeds, pigs raced along a course of about 80m (262ft) with three jumps.

More than 80,000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s two-day agricultural show.
