A free music festival that runs across three weeks in a Norfolk town will kick off with a bang this weekend. 

Festival Too returns to King's Lynn for its 39th year and it begins on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25 in King's Staithe Square. 

It then moves to the Tuesday Market Place for Friday, June 30, Saturday, July 1, Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8.

The fun begins this Saturday from 7.30pm in King Staithe's Square, which will be hosted by DJ Mark Purdy.

There will be music from The Rick Parfitt Jnr Band, with the same name as his late dad of Status Quo fame, and this will be followed by a dazzling fireworks display. 

Then on Sunday, there will be local live music in the square from 1pm, hosted by Simon Rowe, with the Rock Choir, Soul Sisters, Georgia and Maddie Dawson, The Coots, Big Summer Blowout and Bear Club.

Among the acts performing over the following two weeks at the Tuesday Market Place include Liberty X, Feeder and Example.
