A man has been arrested for assault and theft offences after police swooped on a stolen boat in the Broads.
Officers were patrolling Hoveton on Friday morning (June 16) when they spotted the vessel moored at Hoveton.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested and taken to Aylsham police station for questioning.
The man was then arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman aged in her 40s on May 27 in Old Market Road in Stalham.
He was also arrested in connection with a number of theft offences including a boat stolen in Stalham between March and May 31, boat equipment worth around £2,500 from Sutton on June 3 and also theft of alcohol from a store in Stalham on May 27.
In addition, he was also arrested for failing to attend court.
The man has been bailed until September 7, 2023.
