With more than 200 classes and three major championships, the equestrian programme at this year’s Royal Norfolk Show will not disappoint.

Norfolk is certainly not a one-horse town. Watch as horses, ponies, donkeys and more are put through their paces to win the coveted ribbons.

Wednesday, June 28

EQUINE DISPLAY RING

New for 2023, the Equine Display Ring is located in the heart of the Equine Village and will feature a variety of demonstrations.

10am Scurry Skills

An introduction to the thrilling sport of Arena Carriage Driving by the British Scurry and Trials Driving Group. Learn about the skills and equipment required to get started in the sport and meet some of the champion scurry ponies.

10.50am Heavy Horses

Pre-Judging of Single Trade Turnouts.

11.30am Easton College Equine Demonstration

Join the team from Easton College and discover the fun their equine courses offer.

1pm Donkeys

Watch donkeys of all ages and breeds take part in classes and find out which donkey will be crowned Royal Norfolk Show Champion.

2.30pm Meet the Shetlands

Get all the behind-the-scenes action from the ponies and jockeys of the Shetland Pony Derby, watch their quadrille display, and even have a go at racing against them!

3pm Heavy Horses

Pre-Judging of Teams of 3 or 4 Horse Turnouts.

3.45pm Vaulting to Victory

Marvel at the incredible team from Suffolk Vaulting Club as they perform an exciting display and tell you all about their fundraising efforts and how to get involved in the wonderful sport of vaulting.
