Norfolk Police was called to the scene of a serious collision in Acle in the early hours.
The incident happened just after 2am today (Sunday, June 18) when a car left the A47 Acle New Road and overturned.
Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the car was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries. Nobody else was injured.
The Acle straight was closed in both directions between the Vauxhall roundabout in Great Yarmouth and the Acle roundabout following the incident, but as of 11am it is now back open.
While delays remain in the area, this should now start to ease.
