A pizza van launched during the pandemic is going from strength to strength, with a new pitch on the north Norfolk coast.

Couple Darren and Claire Cameron, from Horning, invested their savings and started Monzu in October 2020 serving Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas.

They use a base of San Marzano tomatoes and English Fior Di Latte mozzarella, or a vegan alternative, with a range of authentic toppings and there are more inventive weekly specials too.

The pair has weekly or regular pitches at Broads Tours in Wroxham, Ludham Caravan Club and The Blue Boar pub in Sprowston.

They have just started a new weekly Thursday pitch at Manor Caravan Park in Happisburgh from 5pm to 8pm with all welcome.

Mrs Cameron said: "People say that our pizzas are very addictive and we get Italian customers that say it is as good as or better than in Naples - our oldest regular is 92.

"In the future, we would love to get frozen pizzas stocked in delis."

For the next four weeks, Monzu is also offering a Lily's Pizza special, with pepperoni, red onion and bell peppers, with £5 from each sale going to help a tri-paw puppy get surgery.
