Excitement is building ahead of a new ride opening at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, which is similar to an old family favourite.

In April 2023, it was announced that Pleasure Beach was getting a new addition called the Polar Express.

It is a "Musik Express", which whizzes carriages around in a sloped circle, and it has been compared to the Mulan ride that left the site after 20 years in 2019.

The Polar Express is being manufactured in Italy and while it was initially set to arrive in the seaside town in the spring, it has been delayed slightly.

Giving an update on social media, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach said: "Our team met with the manufacturer this week and they have informed us that due to production hold-ups, the ride will be delivered from Italy in July.

"The foundations have been laid and we are now in the hands of the manufacturer and the speed in which they can deliver the ride to us.

"We thank you for your ongoing patience."
