The matter was listed for half-a-day with family members due to read out victim impact statements at the hearing.

At an earlier listing in February, Jude Durr, prosecuting, said it was the crown's case that the defendant had driven at "significant speed" between King's Lynn and the location of the impact of the crash.

He said Cielevicius was "driving the car in a way that can only be described as dangerous".

Cielevicius, of John Street, King’s Lynn, has been remanded in custody.

Police, fire and ambulance crews raced to the scene following the fatal crash which happened about a quarter of a mile from the Hardwick roundabout.

Fire crews from Lynn and Terrington released people using hydraulic rescue equipment.

Following the crash, road closures were in place on the A47 at North Runcton until the next afternoon (Monday, January 16).

An inquest has been opened into the deaths of the three crash victims, who lived at Albert Avenue in Gedney,  Lincolnshire.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
