A pair of fitness entrepreneurs have opened a new gym, calling it a "dream come true"

Stuart Brown and Jack Cookson opened a fitness studio offering personal training sessions and classes in September 2021.

But although it was called ABS Gym, it lacked the weights and other exercise equipment usually found in gyms - until now.

Mr Brown said of the gym, on the Clipbush Business Park in Fakenham: “The response from everybody who has come in has been brilliant, everyone has been so friendly and interested.

“Neither Jack nor myself can really believe this is all happening.

"It’s a dream come true and to be able to bring the community we grew up in that dream is even better.”

Mr Brown and Mr Cookson applied for permission to expand into the building next door last year.

They said the gym is filled with top-of-the-range gear including free weights and cardio machines.

Mr Brown and Mr Cookson initially started their business at the West Raynham Business Park, but wanted to move into Fakenham, saying it made more sense.

This is not the end of the development, with Mr Brown saying there are plans to keep improving the facility throughout its operation.

And they have plans to expand their offering even further.

Mr Brown said: “We are also looking at the logistics of opening 24/7 to give the opportunity to train those who work night shifts or simply do not have the time during the day.

“Suggestions from our members and those interested in joining are extremely useful, it allows us to better map the trajectory of the gym in order to suit our communities requirements.

“Although these plans are down the line, we’re always looking to improve our facilities as we grow.”
