Emergency road repairs along a section of city road will affect bus services for more than a week and may cause delays to motorists.

Due to works to fix a gas leak at the junction of Wilberforce Road and Rockingham Road, FirstBus orange line service 21 will divert from its usual route on Tuesday.

Cadent, the firm carrying out the repairs, says the work may cause "some carriageway incursion", meaning delays are possible.

The closure is expected to last a minimum of five days, and possibly more.

All service 21 journeys will go as far as West Earlham shops and then back to Earlham Green Lane to resume the usual route at the junction with Malbrook Road.

Stops on Rockingham Road, Wilberforce Road and Malbrook Road will not be served until further notice.
