The city's independent shopping district will once again host a huge celebration of local crafts and food. 

The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre returns on Sunday, July 9 2023 from 11am until 5pm and it is part of the annual Lord Mayor's Celebration Weekend.

It will include the St Benedict's Street market with local stalls and a street food court, Bridewell Alley pop-up art market, vintage flea market in Pottergate and Charing Cross and Jarrold Store Folk market in Exchange Street.

There will also be a street party in Upper St Giles Street, 10 different DJ collectives at various locations and live bands and solo artists at Norwich Arts Centre.

Visitors will be able to soak up city culture with free entry at Strangers Hall and the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell.

A spokesman for the Norwich Lanes Association said: "We are delighted to announce that this great event is returning for yet another year.

"It is an excellent advert for all our wonderful independent businesses for those from across Norfolk that join us for the day.”
