Plans have been revealed for a new nail salon in a south Norfolk town.

In the plans submitted to South Norfolk Council, the applicant has put forward proposals to convert the premises at 36 Mere Street into a nail salon.

The applicant, Mia Nails, said in a design statement: "We are a small business in Diss that has been here for eight years.

"We provide all the services for nails including manicures, gel nails, extensions, pedicures and spa pedicures."

The property in Mere Street was formerly occupied by Euro Foods and is a listed building.

Mia Nails added: "All the original design and structure of the building will be kept and protected.

"No walls will be broken down and no extension made either.

"We will only repaint the front of the shop and put the name on the current sign board.

"The interior will be upgraded with new paintings and furniture as well."

The salon currently has premises in Saint Nicholas Street.
