Three roads are due to close for a number of days over the next month for road works.

Road surfaces are set to be replaced, line painting carried out, and cat’s eyes (road studs) renewed.

The work, which is weather dependent, will be carried out in phases.

Watton Road in Roudham is shutting from 9am to 4pm on May 23, May 31 and June 15.

Norwich Road in Hingham is shutting overnight on May 24, on June 3 from 9am to 4pm, and overnight on June 15.

Thetford Road in Griston is shutting overnight on May 25, on June 7 from 9am to 4pm, and overnight on June 13.

Fully signed diversion routes will be in operation for the duration of the works and access to properties will be maintained.

The county council thanks people for their patience while the works are carried out.

With an estimated total cost of £112,000, the work will be carried out by the council’s community and environmental services department and their contractors.
