A north Norfolk café is set to open as a steak and seafood restaurant at weekends.
Streat Boss, in Sheringham, will serve locally-sourced steak and seafood - including fresh lobster and crab – opening as a grill restaurant every Saturday night.
It comes on the back of the popular seaside venue being named as one of the best cafés in the country - being awarded Café of the Year 2023 by luxury lifestyle magazine LUX in its annual Restaurant and Bar Awards.

Streat Boss will serve a variety of grilled steaks and seafood dishes from a small menu consisting of around half a dozen mains and a few starters and deserts respectively.
There will be a focus on using both local and seasonal ingredients, such as seafood caught off the north Norfolk coast and asparagus grown in the region.
“It will be a completely different experience to what we offer during the day, and something different to what we’ve ever done before,” Rob Grand, the Sheringham-born owner of Streat Boss, who cooked steaks over an open fire at the Gunton Arms in Norwich for almost three years, said.
“Sheringham is a thriving town, and the food scene is the best it has ever been.
“Everyone loves a good steak and seafood at the coast.”
Streat Boss opened in Station Road in October 2021, taking over Roy’s Boys after the café’s former owner Royston Young retired after more than 26 years of trading.

From May 27, the café will be taking bookings for up to 24 guests across its seven indoor tables every Saturday night from 5pm. It will also have extra seating outside.
The café does not currently hold an alcohol license, so it will charge customers £3 corkage to bring their own alcoholic drinks.

Speaking about Streat Boss receiving the Café of the Year award, Mr Grand said: “It’s an amazing achievement for our small seaside café.
“It hasn’t happened overnight and it’s something for everyone to be proud of.
“It’s not just for me – it’s for all the staff. I’ve always said that without a good team behind you a business is nothing.”
