The woman who died in a crash in near Gorleston has been named.

Police were called to Beccles Road in Belton, near the Cherry Lane Garden Centre, to reports of a two-car collision on May 5.

The crash happened at 2.14pm when a grey Vauxhall Mokka was involved in a collision with a blue Mercedes C-Class which was towing a trailer containing a Range Rover.

The passenger in the Mokka, a woman in her 70s, died.

She has been named as Pauline Ward from Eye in Suffolk.

Her grandson, Jake Prudhomme-Nash, said to ITV: "My nan was such a kind-hearted person, who loved to rock'n'roll dance.

"Everyone would note on her infectious smile and laugh."

"Originally from east London, she moved to Eye where she was really a pillar of the community.

"She loved living in Eye and everything about the town. She truly was an ambassador for East Anglia."

Three others who were in the Mokka were taken to hospital with serious injuries following the crash.

Two remain in hospital, one with potentially life-changing injuries, and the third has been discharged after receiving treatment.

Two people who were travelling in the Mercedes were also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

One remains in hospital and the other has been discharged after receiving treatment.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the driving of either vehicle prior to collision, and from anyone who may have dashcam footage relevant to this incident.
