Can you give a home to this dog who has spent more than six years in care, to live out his remaining senior years?

Lurcher Max was found as a stray in 2015 when he was estimated to be four years old.

After going unclaimed, the family who found him on the streets took him in.

Max spent two happy years with the family before circumstances changed in 2017 and he has been at the sanctuary ever since.

Eight years since he was found stray, Max is approximately 12 years old and still searching for his forever home to live out his senior years.

He is very much an independent, sometimes stubborn dog who does not thrive on a lot of fuss and Max requires a quiet life with no real contact with children or other animals.

A spokeswoman for PACT, said: "He walks beautifully on a lead and will enjoy a daily low-paced plod and sniff before returning back to the comfort of a warm, secure home where he will happily lounge the day away.

"In an enclosed dog paddock, Max will surprise you with some typical hound zoomies at racing speed.

"He is a friendly dog but needs to get to know you before he can truly be himself.

"Being a sighthound, Max does have a natural prey drive and would jump at the chance to chase off after a rabbit or squirrel, so we advise Max is exercised wearing a muzzle."

PACT will continue to cover his medication for his age-related arthritis and low-grade heart murmur.
