1. Rocket House café, Cromer

Looking over Cromer beach, the café offers generous helpings of local food with lots of interesting vegetarian and vegan options to choose from.

Their 'Big Breakie' features eggs, Suffolk bacon, Norfolk sausage, field mushrooms, baked beans and toast for £8.50.

The vegan breakfast has hummus, roasted tomatoes, field mushrooms and salsa verdé for £5.75.

2. The Pigs

Where: Norwich Rd, Edgefield, Melton Constable, NR24 2RL

Served 8am to 11.00am, The Pigs' 15-mile breakfast includes smoked back bacon, farmhouse sausage, Fruit Pig black pudding, hash brown, mushroom, tomato, baked beans, fried egg and toast, for £14.00.

The Pigs' veggie breakfast features vegan sausages, sauteed wild mushrooms, hash brown, slow-roasted tomatoes, smashed avocado, wilted spinach, baked beans and toast, for £13.00.

3. The Black Boys Hotel Pub & Restaurant

Where: Aylsham, NR11 6EH 

Served 8.30am to 10.30am, the full English features 2 sausages, streaky bacon, black pudding, tomatoes, mushroom, baked beans, hash browns, toast and eggs for £12.95. There is the option of half English for £9.95.

The vegetarian breakfast features roasted red peppers, halloumi, buttered spinach, tomatoes, mushroom, baked beans, hash browns, toast and eggs for £12.95.

Rocket House café, Cromer

4. Whelk Copper 

Where: 25 The Driftway, Sheringham, NR26 8LD 

The building was originally fisherman's cottages and the tea rooms were established in 1992 by Sandra and Peter Foster and is still owned and run by the same family.

The menu is full of fresh local ingredients, including a local bakery, butchers, greengrocers and fishmongers.

5. Horatio's

Where: 18-20 Bull Street, Holt, NR25 6HP

Rating second best on TripAdvisor for breakfast in Holt, Horatio's in Holt serves breakfasts, brunch and lunch.

Open seven days a week, from 8am to 5pm and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
