A homeware and lifestyle brand is set to fill a vacant city centre store and has also applied for an alcohol licence.

Arca is to open its second store in the former Trollbeads shop in Swan Lane, opposite Turtle Bay restaurant, after opening its first shop in Hoveton in 2021.

The new store will offer an array of art, decor, glassware and other fittings, opening from 9am until 6pm from Monday to Sunday.

It intends to expand its offering to jewellery and fashion at a later date.

As well as selling homeware the shop plans to host monthly drinks events and offer a selection of canned and bottled drinks.

The store said it could open until 8pm on Thursdays in November and December for some of the events, in its application to Norwich City Council.

Workers could be seen preparing the shop in recent days ahead of its opening with new lighting and fittings already installed.

It comes after Trollbeads closed its store in 2019 and was replaced by Scott and Co barbers, which closed last year.

The business's alcohol licence is scheduled to start this month, with any objections needing to be lodged before May 24.
