The family of a "caring" man who was found dead in a moorland park has paid a loving tribute to him.

The body of Corey Lance, 20, was discovered at Neatherd Moor in Dereham on April 26.

Chelsea Howlett Lance, 24, said her brother's death had sent shockwaves through her family and the community.

Ms Howlett Lance said: “Corey was known as a caring, loving, there-for-anybody sort of young man."

Mr Lance had just started working at the Romany Rye, Dereham's JD Wetherspoon pub.

His family has now launched a fundraiser to cover the costs of his funeral and give him the send-off he deserves.

So far, £2,380 has been raised towards a £4,500 target.

Ms Howlett Lance said: “Corey meant a lot to me, he knew he always had a place to stay if he needed it.

"He would come to me about everything, that's why I'm so shocked he didn't message me this time.

“He will be sorely missed by myself, all his siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins, nan, everyone in the family and friends.”

Mr Lance's brother, Mason Cummings, added: “He was such a loveable person who always had a smile on his face.

“He would always ensure that everyone around him was warmed by his presence. Such an important soul was lost that day, a brother, boyfriend, best friend, and son, but more importantly someone's light in their darkest days.

“His memories will continue through the restoration of his motorbike, the memorial in the woods and just generally the love we all have for him.”
